Shoreline Vista

Sandbanks Provincial Park in Prince Edward County, Ontario is a very popular place largely because of the sand dunes and sand beaches on Lake Ontario. Yet there is a little-known part of the park that has a rockier shoreline. The diffused light on a relatively windy day, after a storm, created some good wave action breaking over the layers of rocks. Utilizing a wide-angle lens, I was able to get the coloured patterns of the rocks in the frame as a leading line into the distant horizon. The waves were also splashing against the rocks creating a soft and gentle feeling in contrast to the hard texture of the flat rocks. The rocks were used to lead you into the vast lake and horizon.
