Dirty Heads, Toronto, 2016

Dirty Heads, Toronto, (2016): Posters are very abundant on boarded buildings being renovated on Toronto’s Queen Street West. The trick is to use them as a background and be patient for people to move thru the posters and to hopefully make some type of interesting gesture. In populated places like Toronto many people pass by on busy streets so the wait can be less. The challenge now becomes finding something interesting. In this image the couple walked in perfect unison under the octopus and the slogan “dirty heads”. I strive for humour with this series in the context of our well-advertised signs so common in the modern urban experience.
