Sandbanks Morning

Photography is all about the light and being at the right place when good light happens. This photograph of the sand dunes at Sandbanks Provincial Park was only possible because I was here early to take advantage of early light. Being at a sight early to get the morning light is really important to making a good photograph. I also took advantage of the shoreline as a leading line to take your eye to the dune. Fortunately there were some clouds in the sky that also created more interest in the photograph and the angle of the clouds created some contrast and tension with the circular shape of the prominent dune.
